We'll finally experience some relief from the cold snap that has gripped the country for over a week. Weather projections show the mercury barometer rising by 2-4 degrees Celsius from Wednesday through Sunday.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecast showers on Wednesday in the Western Desert and northern Upper Egypt.
Moreover, morning fog is expected on agricultural and highway roads and areas near water bodies from Wednesday to Sunday.
The EMA expects intermittent winds to hit the Greater Cairo and Red Sea Governorate areas this Wednesday and to blow through South Sinai, northern Upper Egypt, and the northwestern coasts from Thursday to Sunday.
From Wednesday to Sunday, daytime temperatures in Cairo and Lower Egypt will start at 19 degrees Celsius and rise to 21 degrees Celsius by Sunday. Nighttime lows will remain steady at 11 degrees Celsius.
However, the sun will break through over southern Upper Egypt. With plenty of sunshine, daytime temperatures will slowly rise from 25 degrees on Wednesday to 27 degrees by Sunday. Nighttime lows will drop to 11-12 degrees, so we advise you not to put the blankets away just yet.
