Warmer days ahead: Egypt set for 5-6°C temperature rise from Sunday

Get ready for a warm-up, Egypt! Starting Sunday, temperatures are expected to climb by 5-6°C, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

The heat will be accompanied by strong winds, which may stir up sand and dust, potentially reducing visibility and affecting air quality.

Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt will experience hot conditions, while the North Coast will see warmer temperatures. South Sinai and the southern regions are expected to face particularly extreme heat.

However, cooler weather is predicted for most areas in the evenings and early mornings.

The EMA also warned of intermittent strong winds in parts of southern Upper Egypt throughout the day.

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority announced that Cairo Daytime temperatures will begin at 33°C, reaching a high of 34°C by Tuesday before cooling to 29°C by Thursday. Nighttime lows will range between 19-20°C.

While the heat will rise, cooler evenings and mornings should provide some relief across the country.
