Cairo Governor attends celebration of Hanan el-Donia Association

Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber and Minister of Youth and Sports Dr. Ashraf Sobhi attended a celebration held by the Hanan el-Donia Association as part of the “Farhet Misr” initiative launched by First Lady Mrs. Intissar El-Sisi.

The celebration held at the Amireya Youth Development Center included the distribution of household appliances to 150 brides-to-be. This initiative was organized by the Hanan el-Donia Association, led by Kuwaiti businessman Mohammad Al-Kandari, in cooperation with the Cairo Governorate, the Ministry of Social Solidarity, and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, aiming to alleviate the financial burden on their families.

Governor Saber expressed gratitude to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi for his support for civil society as a partner to the executive bodies in implementing their developmental and service plans to improve the quality of life provided to citizens. He also extended a salute of appreciation to Mrs. Intisar el-Sisi for launching the "Farhat Misr" initiative to support brides-to-be.

Moreover, Saber stated that this ceremony serves as a model of solidarity and cooperation between executive bodies and civil society to bring joy and provide support to families. He added that today's celebration aligns with the directives of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to support and facilitate opportunities for young people to start families and to ensure they have a decent quality of life.

Saber also expressed his happiness in sharing the girls' joy on this occasion and offered them his congratulations, wishing them success in their future lives. He stated that this ceremony aims to help alleviate the burden on most vulnerable families as part of the state's commitment to supporting them.

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Hossam El-Din Fawzi, Deputy Cairo Governor; Mahmoud Fawzi, Director of the Youth and Sports Directorate; several members of Egypt's House of Representatives; Dr. Hala El-Khouli, Executive Director of the Hanan El-Donia Association; and several officials of the Cairo governorate.

Furthermore, Saber stated that this day embodies the spirit of solidarity and cooperation between state institutions and successful partners from civil society. He expressed his appreciation to businessman Mohammad Al-Kandari, the Honorary President of the Hanan El-Donia Association, and Dr. Hala El-Khouli, the Executive Director of the Association.

Governor Saber added that the presence of this number confirms that the state and its executive bodies in Cairo Governorate, along with all civil society institutions, are cooperating to serve citizens and alleviate their burdens.
