Egypt's ambassador probes bolstering joint cooperation with Sierra Leone

Egypt's Ambassador in Freetown Rasha Suleiman discussed with Sierra Leone's Chief Minister David Moinina Sengeh ways to promote joint cooperation at various levels, building on the results of the first visit of President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Julius Maada Bio to Egypt in late March.

During a meeting on Friday, the two sides agreed on the need to draw up an executive vision for the positive outcomes of the visit to implement what the political leaders of both countries agreed on as regards priority cooperation areas, especially in the healthcare, agriculture, transportation, and renewable energy industries.

Meanwhile, Moinina stressed the importance of building on the current momentum in bilateral relations, especially after the important visit of Sierra Leone's president, during which some memorandums of understanding (MoUs) were signed to boost bilateral cooperation.

The two sides also emphasized the need to explore joint trade opportunities and bolster economic cooperation to serve mutual interests in such a manner that contributes to achieving sustainable development in both countries and furthering joint cooperation in various fields.
