President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a meeting with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdullah, and Finance Minister Ahmed Kojak.
The goal of the meeting was to display the local and international economic status, the impact on macroeconomic indicators, the government's measures to shield the ongoing economic reform program from the current regional and international circumstances, and the steps made to leverage investment opportunities.
The president was also briefed on the fiscal and monetary policies and efforts deployed by the government to bolster foreign reserves necessary to secure essential industrial inputs.
President Sisi instructed continuous coordination between the CBE and finance ministry in order to contain inflation and provide funding to the private sector.
