The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) expected Egypt to experience a mild increase in temperatures this week, with a steady rise of about two to three degrees starting Wednesday.
EMA also forecasted light to moderate rains in the North Coast and Lower Egypt. Moderate winds may occasionally intensify across the North Coast and South Sinai.
Moreover, it expected temperatures in Cairo and Lower Egypt to rise to 27 degrees by the end of this week and drop to 16 degrees at night.
However, warmer temperatures are expected in Egypt's deep south, reaching 30 degrees in the morning with lows of 14 degrees.
This winter, which starts on 21 December, is expected to bring relief following a successive scorching heatwave throughout the summer.
Egypt transitioned to winter timing on 31 October, setting clocks back one hour.
