Health Minister Follows The Setting up of Medical City for Teaching Hospitals

Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar yesterday Friday 22/3/2024 met with representatives of the Chinese Architectural Engineering Company (CSCEC) in Egypt and representatives of the INCOME Engineering Services Company. During the meeting, Khaled Abdel Ghaffar discussed the work mechanisms for establishing the Medical City for hospitals and educational institutes for research and training.

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghafar stressed the interest of the President of the Republic in the project, which represents a major addition to the health system in Egypt, and aims to achieve integration between all medical specialties in one place to provide distinguished medical services.

Ministry of Health spokesman Hossam Abdul Ghaffar said that the medical city is located on an area of 230 acres on Ain Sokhna Road near the New Administrative Capital, and includes 18 specialized medical institutes, with a clinical capacity of more than 4,200 beds, as well as research centers, central laboratories, and complementary medical services, including medical services such as radiology and a blood bank. The project will include an integrated residential city for doctors and hotels aimed at attracting medical tourism.
