Egypt braces for its inaugural spring heatwave, propelled by dry winds sweeping through the Western Desert.
The wind, heralding extended hours of sunshine, is set to elevate temperatures above average, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).
Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, South Sinai, and Northern Upper Egypt anticipate warm and dusty conditions throughout the daytime, with colder weather prevailing during the night and morning hours.
The EMA forecasts this weather pattern will persist until early next week.
Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt expect highs of 29-31 degrees Celsius and lows of 14-19 from Wednesday to Monday, the EMA added.
