Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal will inaugurate next Thursday the Khairat Ramadan Trade Fair and the Cairo Dates Festival at the Horreya Park in Zamalek to provide citizens with commodities and meet their needs at affordable prices ahead of the holy month of Ramadan.
Abdel Aal said the Khairat Ramadan Trade Fair is part of the state’s extensive efforts to establish more outlets to meet citizens’ needs, adding that there will be a good discount ranging from 25% to 30% on all commodities and all kinds of dates.
Moreover, Abdel Aal pointed out that the Cairo Dates Festival aims to support the palm agriculture sector and date production in Egypt, given it is the world’s largest date producer. It also sheds light on various Egyptian products, including agricultural products and handicrafts, aiming to expand the availability of outlets to showcase these products and open markets for exhibitors to contribute to improving investment and development.
The Khairat Ramadan Fair and Cairo Dates Festival is a cooperative effort among the Ministry of Agriculture, the Agricultural Research Center, Cairo’s Supply Directorate, the Food Industries Union, and the Ayadi Misr platform, showcasing all types of dates from Egyptian governorates known for palm cultivation and dates production.
Additionally, manufacturers of dates from several Arab countries, including Algeria and Jordan, will participate. Lectures and workshops on the importance of date production will be held on the sidelines of the festival to equip youth with entrepreneurial skills and encourage them to start small projects in date manufacturing and marketing.
Abdel Aal also emphasized that the governorate continues establishing outlets across Cairo, asserting the availability of all essential commodities, especially rice, oil, sugar, flour, pasta, meat, poultry, fish, fruits, and vegetables.
