Egypt new cabinet to swear in on Wednesday

Egypt's new cabinet and governors will be sworn in at the Ittihadiya Presidential Palace in Cairo on Wednesday, according to a government source.

The source stated that the government reshuffle will include many ministerial portfolios and governors.

He added that the changes will involve the merging of some ministerial portfolios and the creation of new ones.

These changes are based on the directives recently issued by President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to develop new policies to address the challenges facing the country, added the source.

He noted that the new cabinet would work according to a specific program focused on certain national priorities, including improving services provided to citizens, continuing structural reform of the economy, and encouraging investment.

Last Sunday, President El-Sisi noted that the highest priority of the incoming government is to alleviate hardships resulting from rising prices and create more job opportunities.
