Egypt and Central Africa probe military cooperation

Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Lieutenant General Osama Askar discussed with General Zéphirin Mamadou, Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Central African Republic, and his accompanying delegation on Wednesday in Cairo ways to enhance military cooperation between Egypt and Central Africa.

General Mamadou and his accompanying delegation were officially received at the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defence, where the military band played the national anthems of both countries.

According to the Egyptian Armed Forces, the meeting addressed the latest developments on the regional and international stages and their impact on security and stability within the African continent.

Additionally, Askar and Mamadou discussed ways to support and enhance military cooperation between the armed forces of Egypt and Central Africa

Askar emphasized the deep partnership between the Egyptian Armed Forces and their counterparts in friendly and brotherly countries, praising the growing prospects of military cooperation between Egypt and Central Africa, especially in training.

For his part, Mamadou expressed the depth of the ties and relations between Egypt and the Central African Republic, commending Egypt's efforts to support security and peace in the African continent.

Several military leaders from both countries attended the meeting.
