The World Youth Forum (WYF) kicked off on Sunday with the "Youth for Reviving Humanity" initiative in Egypt, embodying the WYF's culture of peace, tolerance, and understanding among youth around the globe.
The WYF initiative, taking place from 3 to 5 December 2023, comes in response to the escalating global challenges and conflicts, promoting peace through dialogue and intercultural understanding.
The "Youth for Reviving Humanity" initiative started with a session titled 'Together Towards a Peaceful World,' where speakers explored strategic approaches for a more peaceful and unified world.
The initiative will also offer assistance to those affected by wars and conflicts, around the globe. It will also facilitate partnerships between youth and international bodies.
"Youth for Reviving Humanity" includes a range of activities such as workshops, field trips, and interactive sessions led by experts and thought leaders in areas like conflict resolution, human rights, and peacemaking.
In February, the WYF announced the cancellation of this year’s edition of the annual event, and that its budget would be redirected towards five development initiatives, due to the ongoing global economic crises.
