Sports min., Cairo gov., inaugurate Salam Stadium

Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhy and Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal inaugurated Monday, September 11, the Cairo governorate’s stadium in the Salam district after development work.

During the inauguration ceremony, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal said that the inauguration of that sports and social facility comes in line with the achievements witnessed by the Egyptian state under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

Abdel Aal also noted that political leadership’s directives to develop sports facilities embody its vision for improving youth’s skills through activities that will benefit them and make sports a lifestyle. In addition, it aims to discover distinguished talents and qualify them to participate in championships and competitions.

Moreover, Abdel Aal said that the Cairo governorate, in cooperation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and all state bodies, seeks to provide all medical, sports, cultural, and social services to citizens, adding that the governorate spares no effort to support youth, develop, and establish stadiums and youth centers across Cairo.

Abdel Aal also commended the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ efforts to develop that facility in the Salam district, increasing their supportive achievements in developing youth and sports systems in Cairo and across all Egyptian cities, including establishing and developing youth centers to serve our young generation, the future and hope of our country.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Deputy Cairo Governor Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Director of Youth and Sports Directorate Dr. Sayed Hazeen, Chief of the Salam district Ehab Zohny, several officials of Cairo governorate and the Ministry of Sports, and members of Egypt’s Senate and House of Representatives.
