President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi will host President Mahmoud Abbas "Abu Mazen," due to arrive in Egypt on Sunday, and Jordan's King Abdullah II, both of whom are visiting Egypt to participate in the tripartite summit in Egypt's New Alamein city.
According to the official Palestinian news agency "WAFA," the tripartite summit brings together President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, his Palestinian counterpart Mahmoud Abbas, and the Jordanian monarch King Abdullah II.
WAFA also stated that the summit demonstrates the continuity of consultation and cooperation between the three leaders on various Arab, regional, and international issues, adding that it aims to unify perspectives on dealing with these issues.
The three leaders will also discuss the latest developments in the Palestinian issue and coordinate positions to garner international support for ending the suffering of the Palestinian people.
Moreover, they will assert the Palestinian people inalienable right to freedom and independence and to establish their sovereign state with its capital in East Jerusalem.
Earlier January, the three leaders held a summit meeting in Cairo calling for a cease to all Israeli illegitimate unilateral actions that undermine the two-state solution and the chances of achieving fair and comprehensive peace.
