Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group Mohamed Al-Shamisi in the presence of Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli.
The meeting discussed prospects of cooperation with the AD Ports Group, mainly in sectors of developing logistics areas and ports, Presidency Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.
Al-Shamisi said the group looks forward to bolstering cooperation with Egypt, in light of the distinguished relations binding the UAE and Egypt as well as the unique potentials Egypt owns, making it a regional and global logistical hub, Spokesman Fahmy said.
Al Shamisi also appreciated the rapid and steady progress Egypt has achieved over the past years, especially in terms of expanding and upgrading infrastructure in various sectors, which has led to a quantum boom in the country’s ability to receive investments and support regional and international trade, Spokesman Fahmy added.
President Sisi expressed Egypt’s pride in its solid and distinguished ties with the UAE under leadership of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, as well as its keenness on carrying on with fruitful and constructive co-operation in all fields, for the good of the people in both countries, the spokesman said.
