Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said it is important to sit on negotiation table, saying "we are ready to mediate between the warring parties in Sudan to prevent bloodshed."

"We are intensifying our contacts with our brothers in Sudan to reach a ceasefire. We are working to negotiate to reach a solution to this crisis as soon as possible for preventing bloodshed," the President Sisi.

The President said that there are ongoing contacts with the Sudanese army and the Rapid Support Forces to encourage them to cease fire.

"Egypt never interferes in the affairs of states because interference [in other countries’ internal affairs] is not in the interest of [foreign].”
