PM follows up progress of establishment of Grand Egyptian Museum

Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli asserted his keenness on following up the final details concerning the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) project and its surrounding area.

This comes within President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to provide a distinguished experience to visitors and tourists within efforts to make the area as the most important archeological destination in the world, Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad said.

That came during the premier’s meeting with Transportation Minister Kamel El-Wazir, Local Development Minister Hisham Amna, Tourism and Antiquities Minister Ahmed Eissa, Housing Minister Essam El-Gazzar, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities of Egypt Mustafa Waziri, and other officials concerned in which they discussed the progress of the implementation of the museum and developing its surrounding area, roads as well as the Metro Line 4 and the ring road.
