Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry received Director General of the Multinational Force and Observers (MFO) Elizabeth Dibble, affirming that Egypt looks forward to continuing close cooperation with the MFO.
The minister stressed the importance of the role assumed by the MFO, and missions aimed at establishing peace by implementing the Peace Treaty, and related protocols and MoUs.
Shoukry and Dibble commended the MFO's success in consolidating peace in the region over decades, and in building confidence between the two parties in the Peace Treaty. As a result, cooperation was reinforced in other fields, particularly combating terrorism.
Minister Shoukry equally expressed appreciation for the countries contributing forces to the MFO, and others taking part in funding, noting that the United States provides the largest share.
