Egypt, UAE keen to boost air transport links

Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas met on Tuesday with UAE Ambassador in Cairo Maryam Khalifa Al-Kaabi, who doubles as Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States. The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between Egypt and the UAE in the field of air transport.

 

Abbas stressed the strength of the distinguished relations binding the two countries at all levels, especially in civil aviation.

 

He noted that the Ministry of Civil Aviation attaches great importance to expanding cooperation with the brothers in the UAE in the field of civil aviation.

 

For her part, Ambassador Al-Kaabi praised the great development witnessed by the Egyptian state in various sectors during the current period in light of the giant projects being implemented across the country.

 

The two sides reviewed ways to enhance co-operation and permanent coordination concerning the benefit from Egypt’s organization of COP27 climate change conference, which was held in Sharm el-Sheikh last November.

 

The UAE envoy said that Egypt has achieved great success in organizing and managing air traffic during the COP27 Summit, which was appreciated locally, regionally and internationally.
