On behalf of Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal attended Sunday the Armenian Orthodox Easter mass held at the Armenian Orthodox Church on Ramses Street and led by Ashod Mnatsaganian, bishop of the Armenian Orthodox Church in Egypt, hailing spirit of kindness and love binding the two elements of the nations.
Abdel Aal also asserted that national and religious celebrations across the country in which all Egyptians participate send a message to the world that Egypt is a country of safety and security.
Moreover, Abdel Aal stressed that strong bonds, brotherly feelings, and religious tolerance distinguish the Egyptian people from others, pointing out that Egypt would remain safe and secure, wishing for sustained stability in Egypt.
Abdel Aal added that holidays and celebrations should be a new opportunity to spread love and peace, affirming brotherly bonds and coherence between Egyptians and the world.
The celebration was also attended by Deputy Cairo Governor Ibrahim Abdel Hadi, Chief of El-Waily District Ahmad Gamal, and senior state officials.
Meanwhile, Abdel Aal directed district chiefs earlier to intensify inspection campaigns ahead of the Egyptian Coptic celebration of Easter. He also ordered raising the efficiency of churches’ surrounding streets, upgrading street light poles, removing abandoned and dilapidated vehicles, and banning parking near churches.
