Cairo Gov. lays wreath at Khafir Military Region martyr tombs

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal, accompanied by the Commander of the Central Military Region, Staff Major General Tarek El-Shazly, and First Assistant Minister of Interior and Director of the Cairo Security Directorate, Major-General Ashraf El-Gendy, laid a wreath at the Military Region martyr tombs in the Al-Khafir area, where they recited Surat Al-Fatiha for their pure souls, marking the 50th anniversary of the 6th of October War Victory.

Abdel Aal asserted that the 6th of October war will remain a witness to the strong Egyptian will and determination as well as the heroic actions of Egypt’s brave armed forces officers to preserve the unity of their land and the dignity and pride of the Egyptian people. He added that the Egyptian Armed Forces would always be a shield and sword for our country in times of war and forearms for building and development in times of peace.
