Egypt's weather improves following cold snap

Egypt's weather has become warmer and temperatures have risen over 20 degrees Celsius during daytime, said the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

Moderate weather and sunshine are expected nationwide in the coming days after the country had seen a cold spell throughout the past week, the EMA added.

However, cold weather will persist at night, the EMA added, warning of morning fog on highways and chances of rain in the North Coast, which includes Alexandria and Matrouh governorates.

Moderate weather during daytime is felt across Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, and the North Coast, while Upper Egypt and South Sinai are seeing warmer days.

The EMA expects light rain on the North Coast on Tuesday and wind in South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt over the week.
