Egypt’s Civil Work Alliance, Haya Karima launch aid convoys for Gaza

Egypt’s National Alliance for Civil Development Work and national initiative Haya Karima launched on Saturday massive convoy of humanitarian aid for Gaza, including food, medicine and clothes.

The convoys comprise 106 trucks loaded with 1,000 tons of food materials, including meat, 40,000 blankets, over 50,000 clothes and more than 300,000 medicines and medical supplies.

This comes while the National Alliance for Civil Development Work has launched the largest blood donation campaign nationwide under the slogan: "A Drop of Blood Equals a Life" in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Egyptian Blood Bank.

Since the start of the Israeli attacks on Gaza, Egypt stressed keenness to deliver medical and humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in Gaza.

Egypt has also expressed grave concerns over the deterioration of the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, calling for sparing people in Gaza the policies of collective punishment through siege, starvation, displacement.
