The second meeting of the 17th Session of the Saudi-Egyptian Joint Committee kicked off on Wednesday 6 /9 /2023 in Cairo, exploring cooperation in several areas including trade, industry, housing, and energy.
As outlined in the committee's statement, the meeting's agenda includes discussions on finalizing memorandums of understanding (MoUs) related to exhibitions, consumer protection, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), media, and industrial cooperation. The MoUs are scheduled to be signed during the 18th session, the date of which is yet to be determined.
The second meeting of the 17th session is chaired by Amany Al-Wasal, head of trade agreements and external trade at the Egyptian Ministry of Trade and Industry, and Abdel Azizi Al-Sakran, deputy governor for international relations at the Saudi General Authority for Foreign Trade.
The Saudi-Egyptian Joint Committee was established in line with the general cooperation agreement between the two countries, with the Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Egypt being formed in 1990.
