President Abdel Fatah El-Sisi, accompanied by Sultan of India’s Bohra Cult Mufaddal Saifuddin, inaugurated Tuesday Sayeda Nafisa Mosque in Old Cairo after renovation, highlighting that Sayeda Zeinab Mosque, whose renovation is underway, would be inaugurated soon.
The president noted that such renovations are within the government's plan to rehabilitate Historic Cairo, expressing appreciation for the Bohra in contributing to the works. He also shed light on the fact that members of the cult live peacefully and harmoniously among Egyptians.
The revamping of Historic Cairo includes the elimination of slums so as 110 buildings that were at the risk of collapse have been demolished in Arab Al Yasar, disbursing compensations to dwellers.
