Egypt’s President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi congratulated the Egyptian people and peoples around the world on the New Year in a Facebook post on Saturday.
“I pray to God Almighty that it be a
year of goodness, prosperity, love and peace; and that we continue our work to
build the future of Egypt with a spirit of challenge, persistence and
determination,” El-Sisi said.
The president also wished that "peace prevails among the peoples of the entire world."
