Shoukry phones Saudi, Jordanian counterparts on Gaza developments

Minister of Foreign Affairs Sameh Shoukry made Sunday phone calls to his Saudi and Jordanian counterparts Faisal Bin Farhan and Ayman al-Safady, respectively.

That is "in the framework of coordinating Arab efforts aimed at dealing with the unprecedented military escalation in Gaza and the recurrent aggression against Palestinian civilians, as well as devising ways to reach an immediate humanitarian truce," the ministry's press statement indicated.

Earlier on Sunday, the minister received U.S. Special Envoy for Middle East Humanitarian Issues David Satterfield to confer over the humanitarian situation in Gaza Strip.

Minister Shoukry also exchanged, with his Belgian counterpart Hadja Lahbib, views and assessments of the field and humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
