Cairo Governorate organized Wednesday a meeting with the members of the Egypt Senate simulation model to discuss their contribution to raising awareness about the Smart Green Projects Presidential Initiative and their participation in helping project owners register at the initiative’s platform in Cairo through its official website. The registration started on April 1 and continues to August 30.
Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal asserted that the Egypt Senate simulation model is a unique experience reflecting Egypt’s political leadership’s interest in qualifying and empowering youth to build a solid and diverse base of cadres in all fields to achieve Egypt Vision 2030 and create a generation capable of decision-making and political participation.
Abdel Aal also said that the National Initiative for Smart Green Projects targets the participation of all society segments in eco projects that contribute to the sustainable development process, adding that the initiative includes six categories: large projects, medium-sized projects, small-scale domestic projects (as part of Decent Life Initiative), projects by start-ups, not-for-profit community activities, and gender-related, climate change- and sustainability-focused projects.
Moreover, Abdel Aal stated that the initiative focuses on empowering women and youth to achieve SDGs by turning those projects into a source of income for individuals and finding solutions to mitigate climate change.
