Soaring temperatures during first week of June

The EMA predicts hot weather during the daytime in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northeastern coasts and northern Upper Egypt.
 

The weather expected to be moderately hot on northwestern coasts, and very hot in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.

 

Mild weather will prevail at night over the north of the country until Greater Cairo, moderate over South Sinai and the south of the country.

 
The highest temperatures will be recorded in southern Upper Egypt at 43C.
 

Meteorologists expect further wind activity in most parts of the country.

 

They also advised citizens not to be exposed to the sun during peak hours, to wear caps while out on the street, and keep hydrated.

 

It is expected that the temperature in Greater Cairo will be 34C on Tuesday during daylight hours and 21C degrees at night. Alexandria expected to be 28C.

 

Temperatures in the governorates of southern Upper Egypt rise to 41C during Tuesday, with very hot weather prevailing during the day.
