Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El Sisi held a meeting with Minister of the Public Business Sector Hisham Tawfiq, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.
The meeting touched on efforts made to develop companies of the public business sector, the spokesman added.
During the meeting, Sisi gave directives to continue upgrading the public business sector companies to support Egypt’s economy and give a push to the national industrial sector.
Tawfiq, for his part, reviewed measures taken to develop public business sector companies, especially regulations, administrative and structural systems, and human resources.
He also briefed the president on the executive status of the state’s strategy to maximize the use of electric vehicles nationwide.
In this regard, the president ordered all governmental bodies to take necessary measures in partnership with the private sector to encourage citizens to purchase electric vehicles.
