Sisi directs to allocate incentive packages to medical personnel

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi has instructed the government to allocate incentive packages to medical personnel in basic healthcare facilities and to supply these facilities with the necessary equipment.

During a meeting with Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, El-Sisi also instructed to increase the number of specialized clinics that help meet citizens' needs for pre-marital healthcare services, as well as those clinics that treat chronic cases and that provide care for the elderly. He also stressed that these facilities must provide 24/7 emergency services.

The meeting also discussed the progress of public health initiatives and reviewed current efforts to upscale healthcare services at basic healthcare facilities nationwide, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

The president was also briefed on the current implementation process of national projects in the health sector and of the timelines for the completion of each project.

He directed the officials to adhere to the timelines for the completion of these projects and to work on removing any obstacles that impede the speed of completion. He lay special emphasis on the project aiming to develop the Nasser Institute so that it becomes an integrated medical city.
