Meteorologists in Egypt expect the
current heatwave to continue throughout the country until next Wednesday.
The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) explained that the increase in humidity, which ranges from 70 percent to 85 percent, will increase the heatwave’s severity.
Visibility will also decrease in the morning due to mists north of the country.
The EMA advised citizens not to be directly exposed to the sunlight, especially during peak hours.
It also advised to wear loose cotton clothes, keep well-hydrated, avoid sitting in poorly ventilated places, and to follow the weather forecast issued on a daily basis.
Temperatures are expected to reach 37C in Cairo.
