Chairman of the National Service Projects Organization, Major-General Walid Hassan Abu El-Magd, stated that six plants for producing nitrogenous fertilizers would be inaugurated soon.
Abu El-Magd added that another for manufacturing chlorine and caustic soda is also under construction in Abu Rawash industrial zone.
The official pointed out that El-Nasr Company for Intermediate Chemicals – founded in 1972 – now owns 39 plants operating in sectors of chemicals and phosphatic fertilizers.
Abu El-Magd noted that the company is the largest in Africa and the Middle East, as it exports products to 55 countries, along with fulfilling local needs taking into consideration that Egypt is already a large market.
Abu El-Magd's statements came on the
sidelines of the inauguration of new plants that produce medical and industrial
gases in the Abu Rawash Chemicals Complex.
