Starting today, temperatures are expected to drop by three to four degrees Celsius across much of Egypt, including the North Coast and Greater Cairo, after a week of rising heat and humidity.
However, Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt and the North Coast are expected to remain hot and humid during the daytime through Friday, with moderate temperatures at nighttime, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecast.
South Sinai and Upper Egypt will see extremely hot and humid weather in the daytime and moderate humidity at nighttime over the coming five days.
Starting today, Greater Cairo will see highs of 30-32 degrees Celsius, but with the felt-temperature ranging between 33 and 34.
Mild morning fogs are also expected during early morning hours on roads to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, Suez Canal cities and middle Sinai.
Active winds at night over areas of North Upper Egypt may decrease feeling of high humidity, the EMA pointed out.
