Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said that Egyptians work together in unity and that Egypt embraces all its people without discrimination.
Madbouli’s statement came during a discussion with 90 expat Coptic youths attending the third edition of Logos Coptic Youth Forum 2022, which is held in Wadi Natroun under the title 'Back to Roots'.
The meeting, which was held in the summer headquarters of the Cabinet in New Alamein city, was attended by Pope Tawadros II, the head of the Coptic Orthodox Church, newly-appointed Minister of Emigration and Expatriates Affairs Soha Gendy, and a number of bishops and church leaders.
Madbouli discussed with the youth various issues important to national work including progress on the projects of the presidential initiative Decent Life to upgrade the neediest Egyptian villages, which is home to 60 million people.
Egypt wants to finalize the first of the three phases of the initiative by the end of the year, Madbouli stressed.
For his part, Pope Tawadros II lauded the construction projects in New Alamein, saying they reflect the overall development Egypt is witnessing.
He called on the youth to disregard the misinformation in foreign media about the situation in Egypt.
