Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Estonian counterpart, Eva-Maria Liimets, have expressed aspiration to develop the bilateral relations between the two countries at all levels.
This especially includes in the fields of communications, information technology, and digitization in light of the distinguished Estonian expertise in this regard and in a way that serves the interests of both countries, a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
In a phone call, the ministers discussed means of boosting bilateral cooperation between the two countries and also reviewed regional and international issues of mutual concern.
The two ministers also discussed the Ukrainian crisis and its implications along with other regional and international issues. They affirmed the need to continue coordination between Egypt and Estonia on the issues of mutual concern, according to the statement.
They also agreed on coordination regarding Egypt’s hosting of the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) in November in Sharm El-Sheikh city.
