Cairo Gov. directs to support investors, develop industrial zones

Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal asserted that the Cairo governorate seeks to provide full support and facilitation for investors following political leadership’s instructions to back industry and develop industrial zones to achieve sustainable development goals and in line with Egypt’s strategy 2030.

 

The governor’s remarks came during the meeting held to discuss problems of investors and industrial zones in the presence of deputy governors, Secretary-General, Assistant Secretary-General, chairmen of Cairo’s water companies and cleaning authority, number of investors and executives of Cairo governorate.     

 

During his meeting, Abdel Aal stressed the necessity of encouraging investors and creating a better investment climate to attract more investments along with improving the provided services and infrastructure of industrial zones.  

 

Moreover, Abdel Aal instructed to form a committee to examine investors’ requests to speed up the approval process in accordance with the Investment Law and to coordinate with the Industrial Development Authority as a key partner in supporting industrial zones.

 

Abdel Aal also ordered establishing an investment service office inside each industrial zone to resolve investors' problems more effectively and to connect these offices with the Investor Service Office at the Cairo governorate online for better services and communication.
