The Egyptian Meteorological Authority
expects the cold wave to continue throughout Thursday and Friday.
As the cold weather will continue during the daylight hours in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, there are also cold spells in the northern coasts and northern Upper Egypt.
Warmer weather is predicted in South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.
Temperatures will further drop during the night to record 9C in Cairo.
Light to medium rains are expected on the northern coasts and Lower Egypt on Thursday, lightly extending to areas of Greater Cairo and the Suez Canal cities at intermittent intervals.
Active winds are predicted in all areas, raising sand and dust in the south of the country, Sinai and the open areas of Cairo and Lower Egypt at intermittent periods.
On Friday, meteorologists expect light to medium rain in areas of the north of the country at intermittent periods.

The Authority expected that as of Saturday, March 26, temperatures will rise in all parts of the country.
