Under the auspices of Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal, Cairo Governorate held Monday a seminar to commemorate the 70th anniversary of National Police Day celebrated every year on January 25th in the presence of Egypt Grand Mufti Shawki Allam, the Former First Assistant Minister of Interior and member of the Senate, Former First Assistant Minister of Interior for Information and Public relations, and the Egyptian poet and author Gamal Al Shaer, and a host of the Ministry of Interior’s officials.
During his speech at the seminar, Abdel Aal asserted that the sacrifices of the Egyptian police and the Armed Forces played a significant role in confronting terrorism threatening our country’s stability and safety. He also paid tribute to the police martyrs who sacrificed their lives to safeguard their homeland and enable us to continue the development and construction path under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Moreover, Abdel Aal said that celebrating National Police Day is a commemoration of the victory of the Ismailia police forces over the British occupation forces on 25 January 1952, pointing out that Egyptian heroes stood side by side with police forces to defend their country.
Abdel Aal also paid tribute to the martyrs’ families who sacrificed their lives to defend the safety and stability of their homeland, assuring that their sacrifice lives in the memory of every Egyptian.
At the end of the seminar, Abdel Aal greeted Egyptians who stand by Egypt’s police and Armed forces with solid belief and sincere faith that Egypt always comes first, asserting that Egypt would be safe and stable under its wise leadership.
