Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal urged Cairo’s Education Directorate on Friday to speed up the ongoing maintenance and renovation work in schools in preparation for the new academic year 2022/2023 and provide all required quality elements for the educational process.
Abdel Aal also stressed the necessity to continue displaying posters about preventive measures for Covid-19 and ensuring the availability of safe and security factors in all schools ahead of the new academic year 2022/2023.
Moreover, Abdel Aal urged full coordination between the Education Directorate, districts’ chiefs, and Cairo Cleaning and Beautification Authority to remove all street occupancies and vendors surrounding any school, stressing the importance of the role of school principals in keeping classes clean, maintaining students’ hygiene, increasing green spaces, painting schools’ fences, trimming trees inside and outside school premises, repairing power poles within the school premises, and cleaning water tanks to ensure the safety of students and teachers.
