On behalf of Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli, Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal, along with Chief of Masr El-Gadidah district Hossam Labib, attended, on Saturday, the Armenian Catholic Patriarch Christmas celebration led by the Armenian Catholic Bishop of Alexandria, Krikor Augustine Kusa, at St. Teresa Church in Masr El-Gadidah area.
During the celebration, Abdel Aal extended his congratulation wishing all Egyptians merry Christmas.
Abdel Aal also praised the unity between Egyptian Muslims and Christians, assuring that Christmas celebrations across Cairo send a message to the world that Egypt is a country of safety and security.
Earlier, Abdel Aal directed district chiefs to intensify cleaning campaigns and remove occupancies from streets surrounding churches in preparations for Christians' celebrations of Christmas and the new year.
