Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal announced that the capital concluded its preparations for the final exams of the senior year of secondary school starting Monday, June 20th, stressing the importance of applying all precautionary and preventive measures to ensure students’ safety during exams.

The governor added that a total of 105966 students are attending this year’s exams at 297 examination halls across Cairo.

The governor’s remarks came during his meeting with the Director of Cairo’s Education Directorate on Saturday to follow up on the final preparations for the senior year of secondary school exams for 2021/2022.

During the meeting, the governor directed districts’ chiefs to inspect examination halls periodically to ensure the implementation of all preventive measures and the availability of safety equipment and proper ventilation inside halls.

Moreover, the governor stressed the necessity of sterilizing examination halls daily and the availability of hand sanitizers and sterilizers in all restrooms.

The governor added that there is a coordination with the Cairo Traffic Authority to regulate the traffic on roads leading to schools, where examinations are held, to avoid traffic congestion during exam hours.

He also said that the Cairo Security Directorate secured all examination halls and examination control rooms as well as the path of exam papers and answer sheets.

The governor, furthermore, urged to provide a generator in each examination control room to face any emergency and deploy rapid intervention vehicles to deal with any power failures.
