Meteorologists expect a temperature increase up to three degrees due to India’s seasonal monsoon.
Meteorologists warned of mist on the roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, the northern coasts, Suez Canal cities, agricultural roads and roads close to water bodies.
The EMA called on motorists to be careful and adhere to the prescribed speeds when driving, in order to ensure the safety of pedestrians and passengers due to poor visibility in the morning.
Meteorologists expect high humidity during the day, increasing the feeling of heat by two degrees to three degrees.
The average expected humidity in Greater Cairo is 80 percent during the night hours and 40 percent during the daytime.
Humidity will reach 90 percent over the northern coastal governorates at night and 55 percent during the daytime.
Humidity rates drop in the southern governorates of Upper Egypt, recording 25 percent at night and 15 percent during the daytime.
Wind activity is expected in some areas of Greater Cairo, the northwestern coast, South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt at intermittent intervals, which reduces the feeling of high humidity at night.
The EMA advised citizens not to be exposed to direct sunlight, wear cotton clothes, keep hydrated, avoid sitting in poorly ventilated places, and follow the daily weather forecast.
