Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al Sisi sent a cable to King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein of Jordan to congratulate him on the occasion of Independence Day.
President Sisi also dispatched Muhammad Yahya Al-Amin to the Embassy of the Kingdom of Jordan in Cairo; to congratulate on this occasion.
Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry and his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi expressed their pride over the level of distinguished relations binding Egypt and Jordan at the popular and official levels.
Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ambassador Ahmed Hafez said the two ministers, who met on the fringe of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Davos, discussed means of pushing forward relations at the bilateral as well as the trilateral level.
They covered means of activating a trilateral mechanism for cooperation between Egypt and Jordan.
They also addressed the latest developments at the regional and international levels especially the Palestinian cause as well as the latest developments in the Arab region.
The two ministers agreed on the need for working out political solutions for the region's crises in order to achieve stability and prosperity for the Arab peoples.
