Egypt will participate in the second Baghdad Conference for Cooperation and Partnership on Tuesday in Jordan, according to the Jordanian news agency Petra.
Leaders and representatives of regional organizations and countries, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Turkey, and Iran will participate in the conference.
Secretary-General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit and Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Nayef Al-Hajraf as well as representatives from the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), and the European Union will also attend the conference.
The conference is held to confirm support to the Iraqi security and sovereignty in a way that contributes to the development process in the region.
Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi participated in the first edition of the conference held in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad in August 2021, where he expressed Egypt’s keenness to provide full support for the Iraqi people in all fields.
