Egypt will see a gradual decrease in temperatures starting Friday with weather nationwide expected to be cold during the day and extremely cold at night, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said on Wednesday.
The EMA also expects light to moderate rainfall and windy weather in many areas nationwide between Thursday and Monday.
On Thursday and Friday, the northern coast, northern Delta, and the cities of Halayeb and Shalateen in southeastern Egypt are expected to see light to moderate rainfall, according to the EMA.
The same areas as well as Lower Egypt may witness light to moderate rainfall on Saturday and Sunday, while on Monday rain is expected on the northern coast and northern Delta only.
Greater Cairo will see highs of 16-18 degrees Celsius and lows of 7-11 degrees between Thursday and Monday.
