A spell of extremely hot and dry weather is expected to continue gripping Greater Cairo and major parts of the country during the first week of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
Extremely hot weather will prevail during the daytime across Lower and Upper Egypt until next Thursday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) said.
The North Coast and South Sinai will also be witnessing hot weather during the daytime over the course of the coming week.
However, weather will remain cold during night-time in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the North Coast, and northern Upper Egypt. However, South Sinai and southern Upper Egypt will be experiencing mild weather during the night.
Based on the EMA’s estimates, Greater Cairo will see highs ranging from 31 to 36 degrees Celsius and lows of 15-19 degrees until next Thursday.
