Cairo Governor Khaled Abdel Aal laid a wreath of flowers at the Military Region martyrs’ tomb in the Al-Khafir area to commemorate the 49th anniversary of the October War victory.
Abdel Aal was accompanied by Commander of the Military Region Major General Tarek El-Shazly and First Assistant Minister of Interior Director of Cairo’s Security Directorate Major General Ashraf El-Gendy.
Abdel Aal asserted that the October war remains a witness to the Egyptian strong and steadfast will and heroism of the Egyptian armed forces in defending and preserving the unity and dignity of their country and its people.
Abdel Aal also said that our armed forces would always be a shield and sword for the country during times of war and supporter of development and construction in times of peace.
