Egyptian and Jordanian armed forces started Aqaba 7 military drills earlier this week, the Egyptian Armed Forces announced on Monday.
The exercise, carried out in Egypt's Southern Military District, is part of a series of drills between the two countries meant to bolster cooperation and raise their combat capabilities and readiness to face regional challenges.
Aqaba 7 runs through 9 November with the participation of the Egyptian and Jordanian maritime, ground, and special forces.
Several practical and theoretical lectures will be given during the training.
