The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned of hot weather on Wednesday, August 3, as the temperature in Cairo is expected to record 38C.
Temperatures during August will witness fluctuating weather temperatures, so the country may be exposed to heat waves during the coming days, Manar Ghanem, Director of the Media Office of the EMA, said.
Ghanem explained that the high humidity levels cause a feeling of hotter temperatures compared to July, with values up to 3C.
Ghanem attributed floods that hit Saudi Arabia and the UAE to the pressure distributions that affect the Gulf countries, in addition to climatic changes, the main cause of critical climate phenomena.
And the satellites of the Meteorological Authority monitored wind activity in some areas of Greater Cairo and Lower Egypt, the northern and southern Sinai coasts, at intermittent periods.
